Tutup Studio

Tutup Studio began in a rented shed with a secondhand press, after its founder Dimas Prasetyo left a decade of packaging design behind. The studio buys bottle caps by the kilo from a network of river collectors, the one plastic that is clean and uniform enough to sort by hand.

Every piece is pressed from a single sheet and bolted together without glue, so it can be taken apart and pressed again at the end of its life. The speckle in each one is simply whatever came in that week.
